About This Course

The program is rigorous and fast-paced, covering both theory and application of data analysis. As you expand your skills, you'll use what you learn with hands-on projects. Upon successfully completing the program, you'll have the opportunity to tap into rewarding employment possibilities through TEKsystems Global Services.

Over the course of 8 weeks, you'll attend virtual informative lecures, collaborate with team members via Slack, and take part in a variety of individual and team exercises. Homework assignments will provide an opportunity to apply what you've learned and build on it. The goal? Provide a comprehensive learning exeperience and truc insight into all the skills you'll need to be a successful data analyst.

This boot camp focuses on more than just analyzing data. It also provides you an opportunity to explore career options within TEKsystems Global Services. You'll meet various TEKsystems Global Services leaders and experience what it's like to work in a highly collaborative and professional environment. The final selection process will consider not only your technical skills but also your cultural fit within TEKsystems' core values.

Windows

  • Microsoft Windows 7 or newer (x64)
  • 2 GB memory
  • .NET 4.6.2
  • 1.5 GB minimum free disk space
  • CPU: 1 gigahertz (GHz) 64-bit (x64) processor recommended.

Mac

  • macOS High Sierra 10.13, macOS Mojave 10.14 and macOS Catalina 10.15
  • Intel processors (new Apple processors are NOT officially supported)
  • 1.5 GB minimum free disk space
  • CPUs must support SSE4.2 and POPCNT instruction sets
  • CPU: 1 gigahertz (GHz) 64-bit (x64) processor recommended.
 

Display:

  • At least 1440x900 or 1600x900 (16:9) required. Lower resolutions such as 1024x768 or 1280x800 aren't supported, as certain controls (such as closing the startup screen) display beyond those resolutions.
  • Windows display settings: If you set your display settings to change the size of text, apps, and other items to more than 100%, you may not be able to see certain dialogs that you must interact with to continue using Power BI Desktop. If you encounter this issue, check your display settings in Windows by going to Settings > System > Display, and use the slider to return display settings to 100%.

Teleconferencing Requirements

To facilitate teleconference, screen-sharing and use of cloud-based services, students must have:

  • A webcam
  • Reasonable network connectivity (a wired connection is best). A network connection with speeds of 3-5Mbps upload/10-12 Mbps download is usually sufficient; faster connection (8-10 Mbps up/30 Mbps down) would improve performance for some activities
  • Headset and microphone

Other Items

  • Students should a dedicated home office/work area
  • Notepads, pens, and other office supplies
  • Touch-screen/digital pen support (for whiteboarding sessions)
